GenoTyper 2.2 (Sep 1, 2023)
Introduction
With the release of Genotyper 2.2, the application is taken to a next level with new features and an improved user experience. We focused on customer feedback, easy navigation and algorithm performance. The entire FastFinder platform has been updated with the new Velsera design.
GenoTyper 2.2.2 (Sep 1, 2023)
Feature changes and improvements
- To improve the user experience, the button ‘export’ to create an export file is subtracted from the action dropdown menu. The functionality of the export button remains as is: an export is generated and for Kraken orders, the data will also be exported to Kraken.
- A new status, ‘exported’ is introduced for the analyses.
- If only 1 read is available for an assay, the graph won’t show ‘algo chosen read’. The graph view will update upon dragging the slider to the chosen read.
- A new tool, the ‘intersection lasso tool’
, is introduced for selecting datapoints in the graph. This lasso takes into account which datapoints are selected on the plate view. From all datapoints selected with this lasso, only those that are also selected in the plate view can be called.
- When an analysis is discarded a comment should always be entered. This comment can now be viewed in the audit log module, by using the filter ‘Discard’.
- A new setting is available in the General settings module, where you can choose to show or hide the history grids by default, when opening an analysis.
Bugfixes solved
- It is now possible to select all samples and give a call.
- The arrow to redirect you from the assay history grid view to the previous page, will now redirect you as expected.
- It is now possible to change the chosen read, then make a call and save the read.
GenoTyper 2.2.0 (Aug 24, 2023)
Feature changes and improvements
- Upgraded front end with Velsera theming. As from now, ‘orders’ are referred to as ‘analyses’.
- The original Genotyper 1.9 algorithm is re-introduced in Genotyper 2.2, including visualization of the history grids.
- Improved functionalities in the Analysis overview
- 2 clear buttons for importing new data, via file based upload or via Kraken
-
- The ‘Actions’ button was added with 2 features:
- Discard an analysis. You’ll be asked to leave a comment, and the analysis is moved from the Open analyses to the Discarded tab. You are unable to open or edit discarded analyses. Note that all analyses that are analyzed by the algorithm are billed.
- Assign an analysis to a user: this is useful for organizing your analyses overview, especially for analyses that are created by the Import Wizard.
- The ‘Actions’ button was added with 2 features:
-
- Tabs for organizing your analyses: open, authorized, discarded, all
-
- Failed import: audit log message specifies which file is unable to be uploaded. The analysis will automatically be moved from the ‘Open’ tab to ‘All’.
-
- Removed aggressiveness feature when importing data (this was available since Genotyer v2.0)
- Visualization of used reader type in the analyses overview table.
-
- Status ‘Analysis failed’ was introduced. An analysis will receive this status when an error occurred related to the algorithm. The analysis will automatically be moved from the ‘Open’ tab to ‘All’.
- Improved functionalities in an opened analysis
- As long as an analysis is in status ‘analyzed’ changes can be made and exports can be created. Authorizing an analysis means the data is used to create history grids. Once an analysis is in status authorized, no changes can be made. Export files of the authorized analysis can always be created and downloaded.
- Partial import. Use this functionality to add data to an unauthorized analysis. The button for this feature differs whether the analysis is a file based analysis or linked to your kraken database. Genotyper searches for differences in the original import and new imported data, and only new discovered plates, assays and reads are added. The (manual) calls from the original imported data is retained. Only new PCR plates or PCR plates to which an extra read is added, are re-analyzed by the algorithm. Note that in case of a plate with multiple reads, only the last 5 reads will be shown. For example if read 31-35 are shown based on the original imported data and read 36 is added by doing a partial import, the updated analysis will only show read 32-36.
-
- When switching through assays, the sample selection is kept. This can be useful to compare the results of a sample that has been tested for different markers.
- The sample classification stays the same over all reads. A datapoint is called based on a user or algo chosen read, and this call will remain unchanged when scrolling through different reads of the plate. Also the plate view and data in the plate table is unchanged when scrolling through reads.
- The visualization of failed NTC’s in the graph is improved. They are now plotted in a layer on top of the clusters
- The used reader for each plate is visualized. Hovering over the icon reveals the instrument name and the process hash. The former (instrument name) can be changed in the Instrument tab, the latter (process hash) is used by Genotyper in the background to distinguish readers with the same name.
-
- Exclude plate from history (same functionality as in Genotyper v1.9). A symbol
will appear in the plate table, and upon authorizing the analysis, this plate data will not be added to the history grid.
- Exclude plate from history (same functionality as in Genotyper v1.9). A symbol
-
- Improved visualization of selected datapoints and option to hide datapoints in the plate view, also when switching to master/PCR plate. Hide samples that should not be visualized in the graph, e.g. outliers, by selecting them and clicking the hiding eye-icon
. These samples will receive a lighter colour in the plateview and will be removed from the graph. If applicable the graph will automatically be resized. Selected datapoints in the graph will be visualized in the plate by means of a grey background colour. Undo your selection by clicking on the graph.
- Improved visualization of selected datapoints and option to hide datapoints in the plate view, also when switching to master/PCR plate. Hide samples that should not be visualized in the graph, e.g. outliers, by selecting them and clicking the hiding eye-icon
-
- The algorithm warning icon, under the graph has been removed, because these warnings were related to the NextGen algorithm.
- Improved assay features
- Clean up your assay list with the ‘delete’ button
available in the assay table.
- Lock history grid (only per reader)
- Clean up your assay list with the ‘delete’ button
- Improved audit log. More user actions and system errors are logged by the audit log.
- Statistics information is added: this dashboard will be available by default and will show an overview of analyzed (=billed) and authorized samples.
- Improved graph setting: choose to disable graph axis margins (Settings > General>Graph Settings). By choosing automatic margins, it is possible that negative values are shown on the axes.
