General
The release of FastFinder Analysis 4.4 & Lab management 1.4 brings increased flexibility in how you sign off on cases. FastFinder now supports automatic partial authorization of analyses, which allows you to authorize all sample results that have no error or warning notifications. Read more in the specific release notes for Analysis 4.4 (link) to learn how it works and what can be configured. Also check out the release notes for Lab management 1.4 (link) to assess the impact of this new release to the Analysis results CSV for any LIMS integration you may have, and how your workflow changes when you enable partial authorization.
FastFinder Workflow 1.3 adds the capability to track workflows that process samples in replicates. The release also adds support for 2 new instruments, see link.
As always, it is feedback from you that informs our roadmap, and allows us to keep improving FastFinder, so we want to thank you for your continued suggestions! Don’t hesitate to let us know how we can improve FastFinder even further.

New features
Partial authorization of results can be enabled in Settings (automation) and occurs if controls and standard curve results are valid; in that case, all sample results with no errors or warnings will automatically be authorized, improving sample turn-around-time by avoiding a manual step. It is also possible to automatically authorize Not detected results only. Partially authorized analyses can still be reviewed, and an indication will show whether the result was authorized. Carefully read the impact of partial authorization for your LIMS integration in the specific release notes of Lab management 1.4 (link). Your LIMS team may need to make updates to ensure continuity.
Improvements
- Updated the IntelliQube parser to ensure compatibility with new IntelliQube software
- Changed the LineGene 9600 parser to handle raw data (.txt). To analyze LineGene 9600 experiments in FastFinder, a Quan. Raw Data export to txt needs to be created first.
