General
The release of FastFinder Analysis 4.11, Lab management 1.11 and Workflow 2.1 contains new features that provide compatibility of FastFinder with sample-to-result solutions. In Analysis we extended the support for complex calculations in the assay logic and provided an option for automated plate setup for melt assays.
As always, it is feedback from you that informs our roadmap, and allows us to keep improving FastFinder, so we want to thank you for your continued suggestions. Don’t hesitate to let us know how we can improve FastFinder even further.
For the specific release notes for FastFinder Analysis 4.11 and Workflow 2.1, see link.
Lab management 1.11.1 (April 04, 2023)
New features
When an assay is set up for multiple cycler/major assay version combinations, the PCR tab of an assay will demand an explicit choice of the correct combination to avoid changes of the assay for the wrong cycler.
In the QC tracking, when you choose to track by instrument, in the dropdown of all instruments both the instrument name and the instrument ID will be visible.
Per Workflow you will be capable to change the activity block size (Small, Medium, Large) and set the position of these blocks. This is very useful in cases where the connections between activities are overlapping.
Customer support will be able to disable Assay Plugin (AP) versions which are non-confirming and cannot be used anymore. This will be made visible on assay minor level by the status disabled. When all assay minor versions have been disabled, the AP will receive a general label disabled as well. When an AP has been disabled, it cannot be assigned to any new analysis.
Improvements
- Redirect ‘add assay’ button to available or linked assays instead of the upload screen
- Update regulatory nomenclature (i.e. IFU instead of PSS, ‘Intended use’ instead of ‘Regulatory label’, ‘Production identifier’ instead of ‘Product identifier’
Fixed bugs
- Error toaster is shown when an assay is added while assay list is filtered by search
